How it Works

By tracking the hardness of water in a building and automatically regenerating your softener on demand, Emonix can save you money on salt costs and reduce pollution too. This way, you can ensure that the water softener is not regenerating prematurely.
How Emonix Works

Contact your local water quality dealer to purchase and install an Emonix system.

Read through the Emonix User Manual to learn what you need for installation.

Monitor instantaneous water flow and hardness in your water softener using the online dashboard. Track how much salt you’re using and plan for the months ahead.

Receive an E-mail alerts when anything isn’t working exactly how you’d like and more:

  • Unexpected Hardness Readings
  • Abnormal Water Flow
  • Regeneration’s Starting and Stopping
  • Sensor Replacement Alerts

Automatic calibrations ensure that the only regular maintenance is a sensor replacement every 2 years.

So kick back, watch your softener use up to 30% less salt, and never see hard water in your system again!

Testimonials

Larry at Chadbourne reported a big reduction in salt use. There is an effort beginning between campus and MMSD [Madison Metropolitan Sewerage Department] to reduce the sodium in the wastewater stream, as they can’t remove sodium from the wastewater that discharges into Badfish Creek. The EPA is getting after them about it, and desalination costs big bucks, so they are trying to work it out on the other end. Every little bit helps, and Neil’s program is not very expensive. I’m guessing you would recoup the investment in a reasonable period of time in salt savings.

Mike Henry, Assistant Director of Maintenance at UW Housing

Emonix Note: UW Housing saved $4000 in this building during the first six months after installing Emonix.
